Issue: VADP backups fail when using hotadd.
\nError Message: Windows eventvwr on VADP proxy – System \/ partmgr\u00a0EventID: 58 – „The disk signature of disk x is equal to the disk signature of disk x“ – possible VADP proxy will bluescreen
\nResolution: check VM disk ID with diskpart – change Disk ID via dumpcfg(x64).exe – (reboot the box – check if BCD \/ Bootmgr is ok – if not – recovery console -> bootrec \/RebuildBcd – see KB927391)
\nReason: Cloned VMs will have same diskID -> no problem, as long as u do not mount the disks on the same VM – but hotadd mounts all this disks on the VADP proxy\u00a0– known issue in VDDK 1.2<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
